LYNXT3 - Scripts for accessing the Lynx protocol from Telix 3.1x
================================================================
Lynx is a new high-speed data transfer protocol designed by Matthew Thomas;
the Lynx program is available on several bulletin boards as LYNX13.ARC.
This document accompanies a pair of Telix SALT scripts that allow you to
add Lynx to your Telix configuration as an external protocol.
Files:
-----
The LYNXT3 archive should include the following files:
LYNXT3.DOC this document
LYNXRECV.SLT Lynx download script source
LYNXRECV.SLC compiled Lynx download script
LYNXSEND.SLT Lynx upload script source
LYNXSEND.SLC compiled Lynx upload script
Instructions:
------------
1. move the LYNXT3 scripts LYNXSEND.* and LYNXRECV.* to your Telix Script
directory;
2. get to the Telix Configuration menu and select Protocol options; choose an
unused External Protocol slot (A - D) and fill in the fields as follows:
Key Protocol Upload Download BAT or DL
Name Filename Filename Script Name
L Lynx LYNXSEND LYNXRECV Script n
3. go back to the Telix Configuration menu and write the new setup to disk;
4. ensure the LYNX program is available in your DOS path, or in the current
directory you use when running Telix;
5. you will now be able to select Lynx for sending or receiving files in
exactly the same way as the built-in protocols.
